Project 4: Process Post 1| 2 | 3

Process Post 1:
Created a sort of demo version of my installation to try and get a feel of how I want it set up.
I took some perfume bottles and ripped off all the metal pieces , leaving just the bottle.


Process Post 2:
Almost done painting all additional pieces white.


Process Post 3:
Finalizing each video to be projected. This one is joy, I'd like to have it someday

She is known for her sometimes risky performances, such as her work rhythm 10; where she has a variety of different knives layed on the ground and starts to jab it in between her fingers sometimes grazing her. After each cut she would switch to a different knife.

Artist Research | Rachel Rossin

http://rossin.co/ I chose to research Rachel Rossin, since her work stood out to me. Rachel Rossin is a multi-media and installation artist, originally from Florida and now based in New York City.  She is also self-taught in coding and game design.  Rachel Rossin's work consists of  working in both traditional and digital mediums. She paints surreal canvases that meld distorted,  somewhat abstract fragments of landscapes and still lifes with painted strokes and very vivid colors. When she is finished she then photographs these works and digitally manipulates them to create brief, trippy films that, when viewed with a Virtual Reality headset, simulate the experience of being immersed in the paintings.

Artist Research| Gabriel Orzco

                     Gabriel Orzco is a 56 year old Mexican artist born in Veracruz. He studied at the Escuela Nacional de Artes Plásticas of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Mexico, UNAM (1981-1984) and at the Círculo de Bellas Artes in Madrid (1986-1987). From 1987 to 1992, he led the Taller de los viernes (Friday Workshop), at his home in Tlalpan, which became a nexus of discussion and artistic production in which Abraham Cruzvillegas, Gabriel Kuri, Dr. Lakra, and Damián Ortega all participated. Orozco gained his reputation in the early 1990s with his exploration of drawing, photography, sculpture and installation.                     An avid traveler, Gabriel Orozco uses the urban landscape and the everyday objects found within it to twist conventional notions of reality and engage the imagination of the viewer.
